Our Team

The Sky Protocol team has extensive experience building on Cardano, and on other blockchains, as well as in other areas of software development and technology.

Introducing the Sky Protocol Team

François-René “Faré” Rideau leads our development team. He has more than 25 years of experience building programming languages and distributed systems. He notably proved the correctness of a (centralized) payment protocol early in his career. He also notably maintained and rewrote ASDF, the build system at the heart of the Common Lisp open source community; he also kept publishing academic papers and speaking at programming language conferences.

The rest of our technical team has extensive experience in software engineering with specializations in backend development, information security and data science. This includes decades of combined experience working on payment systems, including decentralized finance and building specifically on Cardano.

The members of our operations team have experience in finance, law, international communications, digital marketing and investor and public relations.

Our advisors, Sheldon Hunt and Chris Giannelloni, have extensive expertise in the Cardano ecosystem and bring business and technical know-how to our team, as we continue to scale.
